Nica Waters

Nica Waters calls herself a serial cruiser. Jaunts of living on land have been interspersed with extended periods of living aboard and cruising. She and her husband, Jeremy, have owned their 28’ Bristol Channel Cutter, Calypso, since 1992; they’re finishing up a complete renovation this spring when they’ll point the bow south from the US East Coast with an eye towards the Pacific, once countries open up their borders again.

Nica’s loves in life (other than her husband and grown children) include cooking and living on boats, and especially teaching others how to feel confident in both of those endeavors. She podcasts with Carolyn Shearlock on “The Boat Galley Podcast”, talking about, well, cooking and living on boats and how to feel confident in both of those endeavors.

Not content with refitting one old boat, Nica and Jeremy have also rescued another Bristol Channel Cutter they’re calling Mischief. Why work on one boat when you can work on two?
