Here is a real treat if you like seeing the world’s most beautiful yachts sail – the J Class.

In a world that is increasingly short of time, where attention span increasingly diminishes as technology accelerates and yacht racing gets faster and faster – take a break, set aside 17 minutes, relax and appreciate a glorious film by OCT Films

It is one that provides the perfect sense of occasion for the Royal Yacht Squadron’s Bicentenary regatta that took place in July. It is a thoroughly worthwhile watch as it takes sailing footage to a new level of quality, while following the J Class yachts Velsheda, Ranger and Lionheart.

Whether from onboard, from a rib, drone, helicopter, or even a parachute, the footage is spectacular – especially the slow mo sections of the J Class yachts parting the Solent in full-on conditions. There is also some lovely archive Beken footage.
Enjoy!
