Five days into the ARC and Spirit of Juno is now running like a well-oiled machine on a disciplined semi-military regime

Spirit of Juno is now running like a well-oiled machine on a disciplined semi-military regime. Skipper, 1st and 2nd Mate, three Watch Leaders. When you are told to do something, you do it!

Skipper. Colin “Don’t Tell them your name your name Pike” Rouse has managed to repair the fridge. Since then we have found that it only works effectively when the generator is running at full tilt. I expect we will have more problems with it. In light of this Charley has cooked some meat dishes so we don’t have waste. The Atkins diet continues. Becalmed again, coke addict made a full roast dinner of pork, cabbage, carrots, roast potatoes and gravy. Wow!

We experienced some problems with then mainsail battens again last night. We had to drop, inspect, repair and re-hoist in double quick time. Better in light conditions than in a big blow I guess.

On Deck have been in regular contact with us. It is really nice to know that a charter company cares about their clients.

Stop pressWind has filled in a little overnight. It is nice to move forward for a change instead of our previous circular course.

All peg legs holding up. A bit of rust setting in though?
